Yeah my partner goes the opposite way out of town to Balloch most days and its easy as its against the grain of traffic. You'd be fine commuting to Kilmarnock from anywhere on that list, moreso ones closer to the motorway. Could also try Bellahouston, Pollok, Dumbrek areas.
