| Comment | When you buy heavier stuff you can usually pick either kerbside or to the door delivery. It can be a bit more expensive but just get it to the door of the flat. Tradesman absolutely hate getting asked to carry shit that should be in situ already, I learned that the hard way. So if the plumber is coming to install the washing machine then make sure it’s where it needs to be before they arrive.
Sofa’s etc sometimes come in two pieces without the feet and they install them when they get in.
Also, make sure you’re in when this stuff gets delivered or someone will take one look at the stairs and leave it at bottom. Measure the close to make sure the sofa etc will fit and just make it clear that it fits when they arrive. |
