I'm assuming you are going for food if you are going to one of those? I tend to just do drinks on a first date as it can be a bit awkward if the date is shite and you have to sit through a meal together.
Chinaskis is a good first date spot, busy on the weekends but a good shout as it's dimly lit with candles etc.
