I am from Glasgow and was in NYC earlier this year. I drive an EV. Hardly saw a single EV in NYC. Pretty rare site compared to Glasgow.
In terms of dirty streets and overflowing bins, Glasgow has its fair share and I would say no better than NYC.
I think on the whole we are a lot greener over here, hence my EV comment. Far more visible recycling in Glasgow imo.
