Lost Chord on Park Road was my favourite shop. I’d visit every Saturday lunchtime (after school football) to go through any ‘new’ second hand albums that had been flogged by students for cash that week.
Back in the day (70s & early 80s in my case) there were bargains to be had. Many Stones, Bowie, Jam, Clash and the like classic albums for relative pennies.
For new albums I’d go to Sounds on Byres Road. The guys that worked there were really into their music and knew everything about all music. The NME was a must every week to keep up with things!
A different world!
