| Comment | I know (from when my neighbours across the landing were getting their repairs done) that there’s a price threshold above which the work must be agreed by all the tenants.
They’ve had 3 repairs. 2 of them just showed up in the factor bill - as in they weren’t agreed beforehand and 1 we had to sign a letter agreeing and it didn’t need to be unanimous only a majority - the guy on the bottom floor I think voted against it getting done but still had to pay anyway - he was ragin.
So based on what Lowther said about the repair initially I’d expect it to be below the price threshold and be added to the factor bill, as yet nobody has told me otherwise.
My plan at the moment is to wait on them to come out (they should arrive at some point today) and advise if they can halt the water while we await scaffolding. If for any reason they can’t I’ll have to have a go myself - before my bedroom ceiling comes in! |
