More of a cafe but Grassroots at Charing Cross, they closed [during the 2009 recession](https://www.heraldscotland.com/default_content/12384743.dwindling-trade-forces-grassroots-cafe-close/). I’m not vegetarian but loved their veggie burgers.
Also a toy shop on Nithsdale Road, no clue what the name was but they sold traditional toys that younger me loved; it’s currently Dini’s.
