You'll be fine, though the area around Glasgow university is fancier than Strathclyde, by which I mean Strathclyde is city centre there's a mix of every demographic going. Glasgow Uni is the fancy one, it's either GU students or rich(ish) people for the most part. Of course plenty of exceptions in both cases.
