I believe now that hamas is a death cult, like Isis, possibly like imperial Japan. There is no rationality here. They want to die and take as many Israelis with them. Sadly it seems like they are pretty popular in Gaza. The truth is if you were suddenly transported to Gaza right now, you would be probably be killed out of hand.
