If you don’t have recycling facilities then, other than glass, I’d just stick it all in the bin. Around 80% of recycling goes to landfill because people don’t process it properly before throwing away. So don’t give yourself a rod for your back here - remember the scale and your place in it.
Absolutely NOT a Karen for contacting your MSP. I wish more people did this - it’s one of the most effective things you can do in this country but everyone thinks it’s hilarious to consider. I’d contact your counsellor though and then escalate up to MSP if the response is useless. Mind and point out that, in local elections, refuse collection is a vote winning issue for you.
ETA: just don’t become one of the sad mentals that contacts their MSP/MP/councillor every week. Then you’ll just get tagged a loon. |
