| Comment | Jesus. Never read so much shite in all my life. I grew up in craigend, easter house, ruchazie and spent most of my youth in the 90s and 2000s getting terorrised by neds. And I mean terrorised. The border between craigend and ruchazie used to be full of drunk neds smashing fuck out of each other and anyone else that looked different.
I wore baggy trousers, chains, converse etc. And spent my formative years getting KBs in the Catty. Leaving that place at night when the neds where in town was a nightmare, groups of moshers and goths having to shuttle themselves through the city en mass in order to have some sort of defence.
Ned culture is worth studying. But it's not worth glorifying. It was violent, sexist, racist, and made a virtue out of stupidity. |
