I was definitely around then. My high school had to have a mobile police station installed in the playground for 6 months because one day it erupted into a full on riot using stolen tools from tech while I was standing in the middle. A few of the people involved later went to jail for murder for separate incidents.
Listen, I understand stop and search laws might be problematic. But overall the police and government did do a good job. It’s nice not going about the day to day wondering if someone is going to try jump you for absolutely no reason. |
