More recently, Israel helped destroy the legitimate government of Palestine in Gaza so that Hamas could take control. This was sanctioned by Netanyahu and previous administrations because they thought it would benefit Israel. So Israel takes their homes, their land, forces them into refugee camps, denies them their rights, kills them, desecrates their holy places, dehumanises them. And then, in order to limit the cause of secular Palestinian independence, they help prop up an Islamic fundamentalist group (who didn't exist in the same way at all previously). This group then carry out an unimaginable massacre of Israelis. Why should Palestinians be punished for that?
Israel has ethnically cleansed Palestinians from their homes for more than half a century, and they are now going to do the same in Gaza with your government, the worlds most powerful military, and most of the western world cheering them on.
There's nothing complex about this, the people of Palestine need and deserve our support. |
