Maybe you don’t do it, but plenty of your colleagues will fudge their books by declaring only part of their earnings, and refusing to take card payments is one way of keeping those earnings untraceable by HMRC. Don’t pretend you’ve never heard of this concept and don’t have colleagues in your profession who do it regularly. |
