Now I'm not a sociologist or anything like that, but round where I am it seems to be younger kids that are the most feral and I wonder if this stems from a generation of kids socialising online for a large part and then COVID giving them no opportunity to face real world consequences to their arseholery, so now they feel invincible? I'm sure back in the day, groups of neds had a varied age range with older ones both protecting and keeping younger ones in line. Not saying we need to get some old neds out of retirement or that it's not the kids fault, but thinking there are reasons behind the recent escalation in shite bahviour and maybe someone smarter than me can work out how we use that information to curb it back down.

Also not making excuses for parents, or saying it's in any way fact, but I could imagine being stuck in a property with a child that's climbing the walls during COVID would have people just give up and tune it out and when the world opened up again they were too far gone to sort out.
