| Comment | What do you want to have happen? Lets start at our desired outcomes and work backwards like proper problem solvers. I would like a stable and peaceful two-state solution that gradually works towards a pluralistic and egalitarian shared state. I think in order to achieve that concessions will need to be made by both parties and it cannot come from a place of retribution, also the extremists (yes on both sides) are unlikely to be able to have a seat at the table.
I am not saying they are morally equivalent. I am saying that moving forward we will need to look to the future rather than the past.
You want retribution and accountability on a national scale but have no particular solution in mind. Which means in practical terms you want continued conflict.
Ask yourself. In your heart of hearts do you actually want peace between Israelis and Palestinians? Is that an outcome you genuinely want? It doesn't sound like it. |
