CityFibre ripped through here a short while back, we're now with Vodafone, no complaints. On Thier 500 service, only two of us and thus overkill, but it was the cheapest due to a deal when we signed.

You need to check if CityFibre, Hyperoptic, etc are available in your area. CityFibre will let you know which ISPs cover your area.

When you sign up, the ISP will send someone out to do the install (if needed). Fine if you are in a house, problematic if you are in a flat - will probably need to be done through the factor.

VirginMedia are another possible, but their upload speeds are terrible (not sure if that matters to you or not).

The best you'll get with non-fibre is about 80Mbps symmetric, *if* you are close to the exchange. For one person and most things, that's still faster than you'll ever need.

If the ISP can't install, you'll have nothing to pay but also have no Internet. Which sucks, especially if you have moved. Only recourse there would be a mobile 4/5g set up whilst you try to get installation sorted.
