Agreed the Expressway is an obstacle as well but the walking and cycling paths around it have improved over the years. There is one footbridge over the Expressway at the bottom of Kelvinhaugh Street and that could seriously do with being upgraded so that cycling over it is possible. There are still not enough bridges across the Clyde. The nearest other crossing point is at Millennium Bridge and that route adds 2 miles to the journey. I have attached my distance calculation again as well as on the other ongoing post about this bridge.
