Did this in the midst of Covid - definitely prefer it here. Cheaper (even in the West End), less crowded, more to do (in terms of music, sports, interesting pubs & restaurants, etc), better nature & mountains close to the city, and I've found that having a social life as a new-in-town person comes easier here
