pretty tolerant i'd say. not all places super "friendly" but you'll get grief for other shit before you get grief for being gay. like i won't go around flying rainbow flags most of the time - that said when i was carrying an almost-rainbow (it has a white stripe, it's not a real rainbow) tote bag from flying tiger a homeless guy started chanting "L! G! B! T! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)" at me and that's really the only (positive or negative) reaction i've had.

also gay scene is fairly big, there's the effect of people from small towns moving to the big city that you get in London and Manchester too.
