Try and find an instructor (sorry forgot my old one!) and get them to give you a 2 hour lesson for some feedback. If all good, just get a test booked as some places can take ages and just keep having lessons in that area until the test.
I found that the test was fairly routine, but you really had to accentuate your looking in mirrors and awareness. Good luck!
