No one is implying that cyclists are/aren't as negligent as portrayed and I'm fully aware that the implications of being hit by a bike and being hit by a car are far, far different.

But are you legitimately telling me that if a cyclist is negligent, lets say for example, batters out without looking at a give way and hits a car, we all know who's coming off worse in that, but are you telling me that it shouldn't be the cyclists fault because they aren't driving a car?

No one comes off a winner in this. The cyclist is likely badly injured or killed, and the driver has to live with injuring someone or killing someone completely accidentally and not their fault.

I do agree that cyclists should be given a wider berth than cars to account for conditions, but to say that cyclists shouldn't be at fault for negligent riding because they're on a bike is ludicrous to me, man.
