I don’t think I specifically said that cyclists can never be at fault. I am suggesting that with lower speed limits and more awareness that such scenarios can be avoided.
It is enshrined in law elsewhere in Europe that the car driver could be blamed in such instances.
I have crossed giveaways on my bike then got into sticky situations due to excessive speed from cars that were not previously in sight. This coupled with the lower speed of a cyclist can lead to nasty collisions. |
