you shouldn't take working at a startup as being representative of the whole sector. Startups are notorious for having toxic, techbro-laden environments full of folk treading on top of each other to climb the ladder.

Conversely, because software dev skills are so in demand there are plenty of good employers out there, who have decent working environments, supportive teams and a social life.

Maybe you've decided the world of software isn't for you, but from everything you've written it sounds like it's still a thing that could motivate you and give you great job satisfaction, and it's a bit sad if you've been entirely demotivated just because your first employer in that space turned out to be shit.

As others have pointed out, there's also a wealth of IT-adjacent jobs where your skills would also be highly valued. You should have absolutely no problems finding something that pays well and is also good for your mental health.
