Just have a good time in the city. You'll see lots of places from the series. Craiglang doesn't exist. The high flats are in Collina St, Maryhill. Not sure if you'd get in. I suppose you can wait for someone to open the building door, walk in and check it out, but the interiors probably weren't filmed there. You'll get a good idea of the lifts and the siairs in high flats, but the landings may or may not be as nice. The canal will be in the area roo. Navid's shop and surrounding where many scenes were filmed is in Townhead - just walk out of Buchanan Bus Station with Cali Uni on your left, George Square down to your right, cross the road and walk straight for about five minutes past the flats. I think the original Clansman was the Ruchill Tavern but was knocked down. The cafe I think is Robyn's Nest in Maryhill. Kelvingrove museum, the river Kelvin, the Hunterian museum at Glasgow uni (where the pickled boaby is) are in the West end, used a few times (you should go there anyway) though sadly the original transport museum is gone. If The People's Palace is open, go there. Ben Lomond was the mountain in the last episode - not too far from Glasgow and you'll probably see it on a clear day. Maybe not the best time to climb it though.

Get to a chippy and get a fish supper or a sausage supper. Or a pie supper if you're feeling mental (aye, we eat deep fried pies.) Get yourself to a good old man pub (I suggest the Laurriston.) They drink Tennents, the local lager on the show. Don't call the barman a prick, because you don't know him well and he'll probably smash you.

Don't think you'll get into bother calling people hen, to be honest, but do it casually (eg. you're in a shop, get your change back and say, "thanks, hen." But apologise if anyone is offended. Call yourself a stupid American for bonus points in any social faux pas really.) I

I'd ask someone in the Scotia or the Clutha about SAHB. You might even see a Still Game actor walking about in the town or something. Rule of thumb: Greg Hemphill (good guy) Ford Kiernan (wank.)

Don't ask things like if you'll get mugged (you won't) seeing the Gorbals or I'll fucking lamp you, ya fanny.
