Comment | It feels like it needs a massive clampdown
Big spree of roadside checks pulling them in and checking the bikes first and foremost. If, in simple terms, the bike is found to have a throttle it's impounded instantly and destroyed. Doesn't matter if theyre on their way to do a delivery..If they're breaking the law then action like this will get the restaurants and employers involved because of their customers start complaining that their order hasn't turned up, it'll force action.
Additionally, and its not something I'm actually comfortable with, but if the bulk of these people are asylum seekers working illegally, which I'm entirely sympathetic to and needs a solution, surely whoever polices this whether it's the home office or inland revenue would piggyback off this.
It really needs a zero tolerance approach that fucks up the business model of the restaurants and delivery companies in order to get a positive solution |
