| Comment | Prisons are full, and it costs a boatload to keep someone locked up. Maybe not the best use of our resources for a non-violent offender. I hope the appeal judge considers this.
As she's not remorseful, how's about:
* A lifetime ban from being in charge of any motorised conveyance for the rest of he natural life; and
* A community service of ~4k hours (one 8 hour day a week for 10 years)
Although this is the UK, so they'll probably ask the family to pay for the repairs to her car.
Always depressing how lightly dangerous drivers are dealt with. |
