I quite like Gallus - tunes are usually decent, it’s a great wee place to park it for the day but you’ve still got the option to head along Dumbarton Road or up Byres Road if you’re feeling fancy.

I took my mates from Florida in last year and we got to talking politics, they didn’t mind discussing the American side because it was ‘safe’ but got all nervous when I (admittedly loudly) started going on about our last few years. When I noticed, mid-rant, that they were eyeing the other patrons I told them it was almost a sure thing anyone in earshot agreed with me. I got a few ‘ayes’ and raising of pints in our direction. It’ll have been a year in October and they still talk about how amazing that was haha

Oh and most importantly, there’s usually at least 2 dugs in situ. Brilliant. (Apparently not a thing in Florida so they were over the moon with that too)
