Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park... All good things to see, all in the west end (subway stops Hillhead, Kelvinhall.) People tend to speak quickly here and a thick Glaswegian accent can be hard to understand, but most folks will happily slow down for you and speak so you understand if you have a problem. Glasgow doesn't have beaches, but you're not far from the sea. Check out places in the West coast, maybe an island (Scotland literally has hundreds.) Arran is a beautiful one close to Glasgow. The Pot Still (pub in the city centre) has the most whisky (no e) and the staff are knowledgeable and will guide you. People swear here, a lot. The word 'cunt' is thrown around casually, can even be a compliment ( "good cunt" = honourable person) so try not to be shocked by that. I would recommend watching some videos on YouTube perhaps - Still Game and Billy Connolly for comedy that will give you an idea of the place, for example.)

People will probably take the piss out of you in their replies here, but yes, deep fried pizza is a thing. A good thing. You can even get a deep fried steak pie. You need to have Indian food though when you're here as well.

Of course we wear jeans. Well, I only ever wear good suits myself, but other people wear jeans.

Have a great time!
