oh and tip number 1 for independent living is learn how to cook 😆 even if it's simple meals like pasta. try and get maybe two meals that you can do *well* and like, a baseline of other stuff that you know how to do in a basic sense. that's the one thing that if i had a do-over of my life i would make more effort to learn as a teenager before i left home.

tip number 2 is staying clean and tidy, both in a personal hygiene and a mess sense. at double your age i still have trouble keeping my room tidy, for my shame.

tip number 3 is get registered at a gp. prescriptions are free in scotland so take advantage of that if you ever need it.

anything else should hopefully just fall into place.
