Many students just stay registered at their "home" gp but as i say, the reason i would recommend otherwise is just so you can get free prescriptions. If it didn't occur to you, you probably have a clean bill of health so it's not urgent at least. But I grew up with asthma and a couple other things happened to me when i was a teenager so it's always been one of the first things I do when I move now.
