| Comment | I know very few people on reddit wants to miss a chance to shit on cyclists but it would be very surprising if someone is "almost knocked over" twice a day. Obviously there are times a cyclist has had a near miss but I am guessing twice a day this person sees a cyclist go through a red who was very well aware of where everyone was, was nowhere near knocking anyone over and OP just wanted to to have fun with yet another cyclist pile on.
Running reds is the safer things for cyclist, taking off in between / in front of heavy traffic is when most accidents happen, cars dont see you if you are between them or if you are in front then its when impatient ones make dangerous passes. This is why various places (Paris, Colorado etc) are starting to change the law to allow cyclists to do so, the data is showing it makes things safer (for everyone). |
