| Comment | Bells are useless these days. Almost everyone has headphones in. I’ve sat behind someone for 10 to 20 seconds ringing my bell and nothing. When they turn round and see me, they’ve removed their headphones and say “you should have a bell”.
The problem is poor infrastructure. If there were better active travel routes, it would be safer for everyone.
Also, there are idiots everywhere, walkers walk on the cycle lane, cyclists ride one the pavements. Drivers park on pavements and speed through red lights etc.
If everyone paid more attention to their surroundings and stayed left, for example when on shared paths, it would make everyone’s lives a lot easier but no one wants to. |
