I know it's calories in versus calories out. I get zero junk calories and don't eat anything sweet. No sweet drinks and no sugar in tea or coffee. I'm counting everything to my best ability. The gym variable might not work for others but for me it works wonders. It makes my metabolism go up. Also cycling outside ups my mood and that helps staying motivated. Also yoga is great for focus.
