I fully support subsidising travel for young and disabled people to help with commute etc, but if someone can't afford to get the night bus home from the pub then I don't feel that should be subsidised.
I do agree with some comments above that under 18s who work in hospitality till the AM but get paid less than the living wage not getting the travel is an oversight, but for people going clubbing I don't see why they can't just factor the bus into the cost of the journey home like everyone else (can't imagine many over 21s or non-disabled people are driving so they presumably all need to pay bus/train fare home). |
