So it would help if you read my initial comment.

I had been pro Palestine for years. I was involved with events like Climb for Palestine and the like, I have a clearly defined memory of my disgust at the use of white phosphorus bombs by the IDF back in the late 2000s and was so proud that channel 4 news rode the Israeli spokes person over the coals about it. I have kept fairly well informed about this situation in regards to illegal settlements and the like for most of my adult life.

The change that happened on October 7th was the mix of online spaces filling with pro hamas tankies, who refuse to debate, and this push for a ceasefire just because it seems the right thing to do, with no focus on what the plan is, just brush it under the carpet and move on.

I feel it's far too complex to just turn around and tell Israel to stop. Far too many groups with evil agendas exist on both sides who seem to want to prolong this conflict and I don't think marching for some ceasefire without clearly stating that some kind of change needs to be made within both nations seems utterly pointless.

No one is going to step up and fix this, because it's beyond fucked and I don't think a ceasefire is the way to go.But then again I honestly don't know what it could be without some nations stepping up and deciding to force change.
