Something similar was raised a wee while ago, about receptionists *deciding* on whether you get seen by a GP, Nurse, or tomorrow, or next week etc....and a "doctor" came on and said that unfortunately receptionists had indeed become the gatekeepers of who the doctor sees because they are so busy.
Which immediately led me to wonder how he had the time to go on reddit....
