Sage is pretty easy to grow. Go to any supermarket, buy a living plant, transplant it into a pot, let it settle, and gently harvest for years. It will eventually get woody, luckily it is easy to propagate.
Unless you mean "special sage", and I don't mean the pineapple or even the divine types.
