| Comment | Depending on the bike, get grippy tyres. Watch out for cold, wet leaves. You can go over them but sometimes turning on them can be like turning on ice.
Bright/reflextive clothing is good to have but don’t listen to people who say you MUST have it.
You’ll want decent lights because unless you are working part time, you will be riding in the dark. White light for the front; I’d recommend at least 400 lumens. Red for the rear; at least 80 lumens.
A good pair of gloves are a must, along with waterproof jacket and clothing. A decent beanie/balaclava would be beneficial too.
