First off, it'll save you a lot of money, and second off, part of the joy of PC gaming is learning how it all works and understanding the insides and out of it all. If you're well and truly stumped after going through all this, then you can consider taking it to a shop, but it should never be a first resort. You'll just waste time and money for yourself, when the majority of PC "issues" can be resolved in a matter of minutes.
