Comment | All you need is your 3 basic lifts. Squats, deadlifts, bench press. Nip along to that class, give it a go, see how they advise you. If you still feel like you need more guidance, all you need to do is check some videos out on YouTube. There's many solid fitness guides out there. Just try and avoid anything putting their own "twist" on the 3 aforementioned lifts because you don't need to change them up!
Just remember the best and most basic lifting advice, form over weight. You want to get comfy with the bar before you start trying to do 1 rep max level stuff. Perform your motions slowly, make sure you're not wobbling or finding it difficult to keep balance, and you'll be grand. |
