When I was looking at 100 year old houses a few years ago I hired a guy to do a more in depth survey and he didn’t disappoint. He was very tenacious. One seller wouldn’t let him up into the loft and seemed a bit evasive and he smelled a rat. The seller then ended up pulling the plug on the deal from their end. I think he probably saved me a lot of money. I would hire him again if I was buying an old house.
