The Stanstead and Gatwick express trains can cost more than the cheap flight down. Heathrow is very easy to get to and from now the Elizabeth line is open (£12.80).
I’ve done the Megabus before, and whilst it’s the cheapest, it’s also the longest. It stops at motorway services for long periods to let the driver rest, and if you have anything to do as soon as you arrive, you’ll be knackered - bear this in mind if you were heading down for something important like an interview.
