Glasgow is absolutely fine at night, common sense if an area looks rough then do you want to pick up food there?
Glasgow city centre is fine, but the one way system is a complete pain in the ass to drive around.
Where are you planning on staying / visiting ?
Couple of tips.
Don’t go into bus lanes, many of them have cameras and results in a fine.
Absolutely do not drink and drive. The laws are quite strict here, a small amount of booze can land you in trouble.
Most drivers are quite courteous, driving here is quite slow compared to most other places.
RingGo app is quite good, just make sure you put the correct reference in, as you will get a parking ticket or car impounded for inputting the wrong street.
If you prefer automatic, make sure you specify that in the rental, most cars here are stick shift. |
