So that's the Crown Street retail park. TBH you can't get much closer to the city centre from there. I mean it depends where in the city you will be working but that area has possibly some of the safest routes for cycling in Glasgow.
There is a new segregated cycle path on Gorbals Street that will get you into the city. You could then cycle along the Broomielaw segregated path heading West.
You could also head right into Glasgow Green and emerge on the Saltmarket.
The most direct route is on Eglinton Street but that has no cycle path and can be busy.
From a cycling point of view you can't really live much closer to the city centre. Even on bad weather days I am sure you could walk in less than 30 minutes.
If you give me an idea of where your place of work is then I can maybe come up with a better route. |
