| Comment | You will be able to take that bike on anywhere as bikes are permitted on Scotrail trains. The reserved area is for full sized bikes. In any case there will always be somewhere in the bike area to store a folded bike.
Your issue will be jobs worth on board train staff. You are allowed and do not let them tell you otherwise. You may also come across the battery issue as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. This does not apply to ebikes, make sure that you tell them that. One of them made the mistake of challenging me with my bike on a train once. A new arsehole was ripped and I did not leave the train.
Where in Edinburgh are you working as there are other stations that may get you closer to your place of work but may involve a change at Haymarket or Waverley. |
