Well they don't do their job properly and that comes from observation. I am fully aware of the rules regarding long distance travel and the need to regulate bike numbers. If the job was done properly then there should never be a need to refuse a bike as the operator knows how many are expected and the capacity of the train. Since they do not do their job properly it's common place to overbook.
The issue in hand however is not long distance trains. We are discussing the commuter services where bike reservations are not needed. |
