I would say it's worth it, it costs £30 and has paid for itself multiple times over.

One or two intercity trips and it has often paid for itself.


There are some caveats to it though, it's goal is to encourage lessiure commuting, so it doesn't really work before 10am on weekdays for trips within the city.


On weekdays before 10am the most it will discount a ticket/trip to is £12.
After 10am or on the weekends it will discount any ticket price.


I also don't think it works on the Glasgow subway, though I think it does on the London underground.


As for ScotRail season tickets I believe it's currently cheaper just to buy an off-peak ticket each day rather than a season ticket, you check the maths in that yourself.

The Glasgow subway does a smart card which is slightly cheaper than a regular ticket.
