Can I ask you one big favour for driving in Scotland? You will find that most roads have either one lane each direction, or one lane for both directions. Chances are you are used to wider roads, and drive on the other side back home. We all want you to drive safely, at a speed that suits you - but please please please let people overtake. We enjoy the beauty of our country but we also have to catch dead lines, have appointments, have kids to pick up or trains to catch, plus we know the roads and the weather conditions.

Please have an eye on the back mirror and nip into lay-bys and passing laces to let others get past you.

Hope you have a great holiday, and don't worry, Scotland is a pretty safe place.
