Not a problem. I only ever played online, like zynga etc.
So after covid when I heard they were starting up again I made a point of going. Everyone at my club is great, I've made some good pals (easier said than done at 40!), I've been invited to games at peoples houses, there's been local charity games, Xmas and New Year games and days out to the regionals (which I won last Oct, got £400-odd quid and a shiny trophy), got to the nationals (where I did absolutely shit).

There's a lot of different venues in my area. I could pretty much play every night of the week except Saturday if I wanted to and was happy to drive about.

If you like a game of poker, or even if you want to learn how to play and have never played before, I'd definitely recommend it.

You could even start your own if you had a local pub/club willing to host and knew a few people willing to come along.
